FULLER & JOHNSON MOWER
Information on the
Fuller & Johnson Mower is sparse and there are no records for these
mowers. There are extensive ads primarily dating to 1917/1918
advertising the F&J mower. The 1917 sales price was $225, jumping
to $275 for 1918. The mower featured a 25" cut with a 6 1/2" dia
cutting reel having a cut adjustment of 1/2" to 2". The single
cylinder engine featured a bore and stroke of 3" and produced 3 1/2hp.
This was enough to power the 245lb unit up a 35% grade. At an
average speed of 2-3mph cutting capacity was 5 acres a day using a
gallon of gasoline. The unit was painted a "Brewster Green with
gold striping."
